Dad takes 9 or 10 days off after every baby is born, so we had him for the first 9 days of July at home. It was a lot of fun. But all thing have to end some time, so on his last day of vacation we went on a picnic at a beach on the sound. We have gone to this place many times before but we have never seen the water out as far as it was this time. It took us about 15 minute, maybe a little less to get from the picnic table to the end of the beach (on a normal day it take about 5). We all have learned to look for the animals of the sound and found many on the the way. We found 'Moon Snails','Starfish','Geo duck','Anemones', and some things we don't know what they were. Then after lunch we played baseball and Frisbee. We had a great time and got some fun or funny picture....

Way out there...

Looking in the first tide pool..

A little craby, but still fun....

Camera shy.....

Two!

A crab! I want it...

Got it....

Bring it on, I can take you!!!!

Eggs (I am not sure what kind they are)

But there was two of this under the rock with the eggs...

Cute dog....

Coming in to land....

No one can see me, I am invisible.....

Can you see the tubes in the water? They were shooting out air and making bubbles...

A little guy....

Moon Snail...

The unknown thing....

Still a long way to go.....

It was like this all over the place. It made you wonder what lives in there when the tide is in?

I don't know what this is but it was cool. It had gills and feet.

Can anyone (not Matt or Leanne) tell me what this is? Yes, I know. I want to see if you know.

A big one...

He was really strong. Devin really had to hold on tight.

An island?

Three in one (rocks).

It was hard to walk on it even if you were not new at walking.

Baseball.

Wow she was really fast.^

Ummm, I missed. :}

Save the baby.

That is a big ball.

Can we play too?!

It's still coming.

Looks like you had a fun time! Beautiful photos too! :-) Is the 'thing' a big crab?
Will you be at the Bradricks this Saturday?
Blessings
Sarah
The picture right above the coming in to land one is neat! Wouldn't it make a good painting? :)
Thak youboth for hte comments.
Yes we had a great time.
No the 'thing' is not a crab it was slimy and we think it might have been a sea slug, but I could not find any thing like it on the enternet so we are still not sure.
Thank you Cari. I realy like that one to. My favorite is the one under the 'cute dog'. I love the way it reflect off the water.
And Yes Sarah I am going to the Bradricks. I did not think I would be able to go as we have the new baby, but the Bryans are going to give me a ride. Are you going?
